Customer claims DoorDash has quietly introduced a new refund policy

In a recent viral video on TikTok a user going by the name @ghoulskidrule claimed that DoorDash has introduced a new refund policy without notifying its customers. The video has attracted over half a million views & sparked a discussion on the platform about DoorDash’s Policies.

According to the user DoorDash’s new policy makes it difficult for customers to receive full refunds if their order is missing or if the food is not up to their Satisfaction. The on screen caption in the video reads “Thanks to y’all disputing on DoorDash they started a new policy without telling nobody. Now I can’t get my full refund if I’m missing my order or my food is half frozen.”

This claim has caused concern among DoorDash users who rely on the service for food delivery. Many have taken to Social Media to express their frustration and disappointment with the Companys alleged new Policy.

However it is Important to note that DoorDash’s website already has a refund policy in place Which Involves reporting the issue processing the refund & dropping the charge or receiving the refund. The website also notes that the timing of the refund depends on when it was issued and the processing time of the customers bank.

Additionally a Shopfood article from November 2022 explains that customers can request a refund if they are dissatisfied with their order but DoorDash may decline to issue a refund in some situations. The article also notes that all refunds are given on a case by case basis to Prevent Customers from abusing the apps refund system.
