Bette Midler is one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood having Won numerous Awards for her performances on both Stage & Screen. In a recent Interview the legendary actress Opened Up about her Career & revealed some of her biggest regrets.

One of the roles that Midler passed on was the Leading role in the 1992 hit movie Sister Act. The role Ultimately went to Whoopi Goldberg who received critical acclaim for her performance. Midler admitted that she turned down the role because she was afraid of the costume. While it’s Understandable that an actor might have concerns about their costume it’s hard not to Wonder how the movie would have turned out if Midler had taken the role.
Midler also revealed that she was offered the role of Annie Wilkes in the movie Misery which eventually went to Kathy Bates. While Bates won an Academy Award for her performance Midler admitted that she could not take the role because of the Violent nature of the character. It’s clear that Midler has no regrets about passing on this role.
While it’s Interesting to hear about the roles that Midler passed on it’s also worth noting the roles that she did take. Throughout her Career Midler has taken on a wide range of characters from the sassy and lovable CC Bloom in Beaches to the diva esque Winifred Sanderson in Hocus Pocus. She is proven time & again that she’s a Versatile & Talented actor.
